Siobhan EzraI first came to yoga in the mid-1980s when I was working in the City and in desperate need of some form of exercise to alleviate the stress and exhaustion of my job. I had never been sporty and was extremely stiff so the thought of aerobics, squash or a work-out in a gym was unappealing. By sheer chance, I went along to a yoga class and this wonderful practice has been a fixture in my life ever since and I simply cannot imagine my life without it.
Over the years, I have been privileged to study under three or four outstanding teachers and, in 2004, I decided to train as a teacher so that I could pass on to other people as much of this knowledge as I am able.
I understand that not everyone wants to do yoga but I feel passionate about conveying to as many people as possible precisely what benefits it can bring.
The best way to do this is by teaching and, what’s more, by doing it in lovely surroundings.
